I’d love to see more sophisticated search capabilities besides simple keyword-based search.
Some examples:

  • Filter based on demographics (who & where)
  • Filter based on Conversations (when & what but in-depth)
  • Visualization (how information is presented)

First two are more like filters that essentially help you sieve out what you want.

The last being my favorite. Current tweets representations in various clients are still very much linear thread fashion. Plurk does make it look prettier but essentially it is still similar. To make more meaningful connection of information, advance visualization is required.

I once evaluated Semagix’s semantic-driven web, which is basically a multi-edge graph representation of harvested information. TouchGraph is another company that provides advance visualization of information.

Above is a screen shot of TouchGraph’s demo semantic browser. As you can see that it is rather complex graph without proper filters. You can give it a go (Java required)@ http://www.touchgraph.com/TGGoogleBrowser.html

Suggestion, you can put in a URL of let’s say your Twitter account to start with! See if you can discover anything interesting… Have fun!
